My experience with Greek food is pretty limited; I’ve only had occasional gyros from street carts. So when I was invited by my uncle, Kin and our friend who was in town visiting, to try this place out with them – I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect! This was my first time eating authentic Greek food from an actual restaurant, and I was definitely not disappointed. This cute little place in Midtown certainly sets a pretty high standard for future Greek restaurants I visit. 🙂
For starters, we had the Taramasalata salmon roe spread with pita. It’s reallllllly strong in flavor.Â
Psita tis Oras Poikilia // mixed grilled meat platter combination of lambchops, traditional Greek sausage, chicken, pork, and beef skewers, accompanied by pita and tzatziki (which is a cold yogurt-like sauce usually served with grilled meats)
Kolokithokeftedes // zucchini croquettes and tzatziki
Hand-Cut Greek Fries sprinkled with feta cheese and seasoned with Greek oregano
Everything was really good. But I probably won’t get the Greek fries again even though I love fries, or maybe without the feta cheese next time. And for the spread, I want to try other flavors like eggplant, split pea, and the hummus. I hope to go back again soon – can’t wait! Do you like Greek food?
